AFRDI October 2008
The Australasian Furnishing Research and Development Institute (known as Furntech and as AFRDI) is an independent not-for-profit technical organisation providing standards, testing, product certification and research for buyers and sellers of furniture. The purpose of testing and certification is to ensure that products are not only safe, but that they will last, thus contributing to sustainability, and minimising use of the earth's resources. We are proud to announce that our Shape Tile Based Workstation System has been recertified for another 3 years. Systems Supply passionately believes in meeting Australian Standards and best practice. All our workstations are continually resubmitted for testing inline with our continued support of products promoting the AFRDI Blue Tick Certification. AFRDI is the most recognised standard in office furniture and is a mandatory requirement for Government institutions and Australian corporations. |
Saturday Indesign August 08Saturday Indesign is the preeminent event in the Design industry calendar. Alternating each year between Sydney and Melbourne, the event is the opportunity for leading Design orientated companies to showcase their range, and launch new products, to industry professionals and visitors. This year it was Melbourne’s turn, and Systems Supply was one of the major exhibitors and contributors. The landmark Shell House was one of the must-visit venues at Saturday Indesign. In the foyer, Systems Supply set up its exhibit while in the adjoining auditorium the famous, or perhaps infamous, lively Geyer debate was held on the Friday evening, setting the tempo for the most successful Saturday Indesign. In excess of 2000 people, in one day, visited the Systems Supply display. The preview of the two new cut-thru workstation systems were much discussed, and by the afternoon a constant trail of professionals made their way to Shell House to view the new 32.5 workstation and the second generation of the successful Jazz workstation systems –J2G. Staff from Systems Supply Melbourne and Sydney offices were in constant demand to discuss the new workstation concepts with much interest in the three variations of 32.5, in particular the innovative free standing version. |
